Looking at records, you get a comfortable feeling.  Most of the covers and artwork are engaging and/or relaxing to look at.  I've gotten quite a few  new ones in lately, and I love looking at them.  I haven't opened any yet, but just the feel of them, to touch and look at the somewhat perfect qualities of them.
I cut my finger rather badly earlier this week.  I wore a band-aid for three days, just to make sure I did not aggravate or infect the wound.  Today I didn't wear one, and over the course of the day, the originally somewhat soft skin around the area hardened, and became rather insensitive and rough.  It's a metaphor for people:  the ones that get bruised badly in life eventually develop a tough exterior that doesn't let much through.  I think I'm at this point nowadays.
Somewhat lonely, rearranging my records for the second time since I've been home, I decided that I'll buy a larger cd holder to hold the expanding collection, rather than box some of the ones I don't listen to as much.  I'm thinking that maybe I'd like a girlfriend, to share the time with, feelings, rather than writing them down.  I'd tell friends like Tim or someone, but I fear that it may make for awkward and unwanted conversation.  Besides, they'll be plenty of time for that next schoolyear.  As for the significant other bit, I don't know quite what to make of it, or who to make my latest victim...
