| I worked today, if you could
call it that. I was at the place from 8:30-4:50, and I essentially
sat in a cubicle most of the day, or walked around aimlessly. My
computer at the job is not working and without network access. Motorola
is the king of bureaucracy, and the sheer magnitude off its slowness, impersonality,
and inefficiency overwhelms and infuriates me. The cubicle worker
I was supposed to meet today won't actually be in until next Wednesday.
I had a feeling sitting alone in that off-white cube that I never had wanted
company so much. If there's one evil thing about sitting alone in
a small, confined, awful looking cubicle, it forces the 'loner' type I
am to fully comprehend how significantly isolated you are. You're
stuck in the dube, and don't really have any reason to come out.
Even if you could come out, why bother? To talk to someone?
No, there's no reason to leave or try to communicate.
The ride home was awful as well. I spent an hour getting lost, trying to find my way, and standing still in traffic. I couldn't merge which resulted in me having to take other, more circuitous paths. Bah. I don't think I can win, in fact, it's the only guarantee that I lose. Got the 30 episodes of Robin that I ordered in today. I cut my right middle fingle while checking for a receipt in the packing box. Funny how even something which can cause you great joy leads to pain or suffereing. I am going to bed, ready to perform the same tasks again. |
