i had a very odd dream last night.  i am not sure where it came from or why, but it was odd, to say the least.  there
was some town, i was not in it.  i was not in the entire dream.  that doesn't bother me at all.  it seemed to be perpetual night.  i cannot recall it ever being light outside in this dream.  the town seemed to be infested with some sort of giant bird, which looked extremely fake, like the cheap-looking eagle-man on the eagle-man auto insurance
commercials.  these birds were generally unfriendly and liked to eat people.  the dream didn't go anywhere, it was
just random images of people and these odd, large birds doing various things.  i woke up.  the dream ended.  i        gained no insight into anything.  what was the purpose of that dream?  when i went to breakfast this morning, the hallways smelled different than their normal day old beer and food mixture.  for some reason, they smelled like tim's room smells.  i've only been over to his dorm a few times, and it took me a while to place the scent, but i was over there last friday, so it was somewhat "still in the memory," and i was able to recall it.  hrrm..that was pretty random.
listening to marilyn manson's mechanical animals right now.  some of the songs on this album still blow me away,
both musically and lyrically.  his use of little sounds and electronic chirps puts to shame some amateur electronic
producers, actually...although it could be the studio programmer as well...i'll never know for sure.  i love it when i drag an album out that i have not listened to in a few months, and upon re-listening to it, enjoy it just as much as when i first got it.  that is the way it is with all my favorite cds usually.  this disc is far from a favorite though.  the middle of the cd is terrible.  i usually program it away, but i listened to the full thing today for some reason.
someone emailed me a string of hatemails the other day.  i thought something he said was interesting enough to
write about here.  he said "i like fog, but i don't write about it" or something like that.  it struck me odd that someone
would write that...if you like fog, then why not write about it and put it on a webpage?  it is not like i am paying for this site, the university lets me use it for free.  so i suppose that i have the option to write about whatever i like and
not really worry about the consequences.  even if i was, it's not that expensive to buy a domain and webspace anyway...i've also noticed that when people generally send me hatemail, it involves a lot of telling me to "get a life"
and to "get over myself" and they usually mix in alot of expletives.  hatemail perplexes me.  i don't get people, they are all pretty damn incomprehensible if you ask me.
"when you're down on your luck, and you just can't cope, when the times are bleak and the friends are few, don't
turn to me because i'm no hope, don't turn to me because I don't know what to do"  that's from a smog song i'm listening to right now.
