| i wrote this yesterday night
because i couldn't fall asleep for obvious reasons. it's the only
reason why i'm bothering to type any sort of "update" on my life today.
...it's pretty late now. loud outside and i'm trying to sleep. however, the frat seems to feel no weariness and the band there keeps playing music which i can hear easily through my walls: this keeps me awake. so i write. the song "what i like about you...is that you really know how to dance" is being played. it reminds me of something my dad would know more about from his college/frat days. it's an old song i guess, and i picture all the social kids wearing sweaters and slacks and having perfectly white teeth and slicked back hair, like some 1950's idealized teenager. i really despise these people. not because i've been having insomnia lately and really feel like getting <or trying to get> to sleep, but for what they stand for-ignorance. yes, they're having fun and i'm jealous to a degree, but there's something ingrained in me to think of them as foolish and empty. such as once this night is over, are they still happy? and the answer is yes. they will have another party, and keep having them, until it ceases to amuse them, then they'll move onto something else. these people are enjoying themselves more than me. they are not lonely for the time being, and are possibly having a more fulfilling life? who knows. i'm tired of watching them out the window, and i'm too tired to answer my own questions. that's it. connection terminated. |
