| coming home from tim's after
a night of iron chef and anime viewing. on the walk home, i tried
to see everything in a
new light. first, i wanted to make everything look very futuristic and techno-like. however, that didn't work. there weren't enough...technology...neon lights...fellow cyberpunk-internet-rattled-people...big buildings...smog at all. with that idea gone, i felt maybe i should imagine that everything is very gothic an see if that works. but, there were no columns, romanesque archetecture, ruins of any sort. all there was was silly looking college buildings, too many closely parked cars, and the smells of the meat science laboratory or whatever that place is. very unappealing and generally homicidal to my imagination. there was a guy walking in front of me part of the way back. he was 'rapping' and waving his arms around. i followed him around for a while. i wonder if he thought that i was some sort of insane person following him. well i sort of was. but not really. i was/am pretty lonely tonight. i was hoping maybe some random girl who was drunk and that had a pretty face (because even behind all this literary knowledge, college education, and musical pretensiousness, i'm very shallow) would want to talk to stupid old me all night long and relieve my loneliness. but it didn't happen. not that i tried or anything, but i'd still just like to talk to someone one of these days who wanted to talk to me. everything is a lie. |
