flashback addiction
when sitting in front of the computer for two hours, i've realized the mind starts to wander off topic for increasingly long intervals, delving into various topics, anything than what the mind should really be considering. personally, i'm prone to having numerous flashbacks when this sort of thing happens. in fact, you could say i'm addicted to them, i think about the past (particularly mine) a bit too much. i don't particularly enjoy it, nor do i dislike it, generally occurrences of the past tend to surface in my mind quite often, as well as randomly. for instance, a moment ago i recalled that during highschool i seemed to have much more time than i do at university, namely because i had several flashbacks where i would spend hours playing videogames in the basement of the house. i don't/can't do that here, which i suppose is good.
hrm. valentine's day (otherwise known as corporate commercial "love" sales festival) is approaching soon. valentine's day seems to be a good way to end relationships, not necessarily bring strengthen them. after all, in today's modern consumer oriented society, if you give your "loved" one something he/she doesn't really want, that's grounds for dumping you, i think. of course, never having dealt with a valentine's day, i wouldn't really know, though that's the impression i get. actually, i haven't had anything sweet in a long time. send me some chocolate, without any sentimentality or feeling, because i don't really care who it's from or why, as long as i get to eat it. selfish? yes. but truthful? undoubtedly.
lately i've been heavily influenced by thinkers who believe that man should no longer exist on earth. i've come to wholeheartedly agree with this fact, but i can't seem to come about with a proper course of action. i'm much too polite and reserved to just go and murder people, and i'm not one for petitioning them not to breed either. i think i'd like to contaminate all water supplies with a chemical to sterilize people. but i'll never do that either, because i wouldn't know where to begin. bah. fantasy should become reality.
